Exes are going to have successes (and failures). I’d hardly call standing-in for Justin Timberlake the pinnacle of an acting career - it’s definitely something - but it’s not like he’s opening a movie at Cannes. Nonetheless, I hope that each of my exes is successful in what he’s set out to do, in part because that ultimately validates a bit of the reason why I was attracted to him in the first place. There’s baggage and drama and heartbreak and blah blah blah there now, but come on, I don’t wish serious ill will on someone who brought me so much joy for however long it lasted. So I hope that each has successful careers and productive, happy lives, and I want to believe their hopes for me are the same.
